I am one month, I become more chunky!!

Jet is helping meimei wear her socks, but obviously she doesn't like it.

Meimei is taking a bath, she likes to take a bath, and Baobao is helping too

Grandma is such a great helper here.she is helping Mama, she is helping baobao, she is also help meimei, whenever she cries, grandma always show up to hold her. But this also spoiled meimei, she is being so naughty recently, she still cries even though you hold her.
Meimei Loves daddy, here is the shirt to prove it! (Okay technically, the shirt says that daddy loves the baby, but I'm sure the feeling is mutual.)

It's been a week...

Its been a week, Tess is eating very well, most of time, when she wakes up, she is searching for the milk, she lost some weight the first two days, we were worried, but now, look at her face, she is obviously gaining weight.

Jet Loves his little sister, he always come to give her kisses, when she cries, he always climb up her crib, check on her, and then came to me, say, " oh, no, baby ku( ku means cry in chinese)".

In the morning of May 21, I start to have bloody show, and contraction. we waited until midnight to go to the hospital, and the contraction was 8 to 10 minutes in between.

At the hospital, a midwife checked me and said my body wasn't ready for the baby, she told me to do some walk for 40 mins see if things change, if not, she will send us home. So I climbed the stairs from the first floor to 7th floor 4 times. She checked me, said I made a little progress but still she couldn't admit me. And then I tried to take a hot shower, the contraction came more frequently and stronger, but still she said I wasn't ready. Mason insisted to have the baby today, then she gave me a shot of morphine and another drug that was supposed to help my pain and help me fall asleep while I continued to dilate. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned and I continued to feel the contractions and couldn't fall asleep. Mason fell asleep though, because he was tired. At 7AM I couldn't stand the pain any longer. I woke Mason up through my tears. He went and got the midwife. We were surprised and happy to find out I was already dilated to 9cm and ready to have the baby. The hospital people were unprepared for me, because I was so close to having the baby. They didn't have time to give me medication and epidural or to send me to the delivery room. So, I ended up giving birth to our little Tess in the observation room. She was 6 lbs 14 oz and 19.5 inches long. We think she's so pretty and are so happy to have her join our family!

A Birthday Party!

I Got invited to my friend Teagan's birthday Party, She turns two now. Her party was at a place called "My Gym". I Love that place, I spend two hours fun time there, I even cried to leave there. Here are some pictures:

This is the birthday girl Teagan. She is a mixture: he mom is Chinese and white from Canada and her dad's heritage is from the Middle East but grew up in the US. Isn't she cute?

Busy May

This May is a busy month for our family. We are waiting for our baby girl to come out every day since the doctor said any time on May is possible.

I Had two little baby showers.

I had my Birthday celebration.

And also Mother's day. I had breakfast in bed that morning, I also got a big gift--Mac laptop. Mason said its not for the mother's day gift, its my pregnant gift. I wouldn't be bored while I am doing my monthly rest after the baby. What a nice husband!!!

Jet helped me opened my present together from Mason, Its a real Korean stone pot, I can make Bimbibap then.

Mason didn't make the cake, He bought it. He told me before dinner, he is going to pick up a cake for my birthday, then when he came home with empty hand, he said cake is too expensive. "No, its not!" I said. I was a little sad to know that my birthday wouldn't have a cake. But after dinner from the restaurant, he show up an surprise cake.Haha...

Jet's growing

Jet---is 2 year and 3 months now, he is not only making a progress of counting, but also knows all the English letters very well. When I was cooking yesterday, he kept bringing me the letters and telling me what it is, I always praise him: Good Job, Baobao! sometimes he made mistakes, I correct him, he would say: Good Job, Mama! That's so funny, makes me laugh.

He likes to organize things in a pattern, I was very impressed the pattern of letters being organized when he finished playing the magnet letters on the refrigerator; when he was playing at the patio, he sometimes organize the shoes outside.

He thinks mom's belly button means "meimei"( little sister in chinese". He always gave her kisses and use his doctor kit to measure her.

Daddy is teaching me how to play hockey. Its always been a fun time for me to play with dad, he sometimes teach me play the baseball too, but I usually swing the bat too early.

We went to Japan town last weekend because they have a cherry blossom festival there. I saw some fake fish, tortoise there, we had some food there, we watched some show there...

Mommy gave me a sticky ball, and told me to eat it, its called" mochi". Japanese dessert, mommy's favorite, but not mine.

Last night Mommy had a girls's night---dinner club, it means we have no dinner with mommy, but we had a boy's night. We(Uncle Derek, Ed, Daddy is taking the picture) went to chuck E. cheese , I Love that place!

Easter

On Easter, we had Teng's family over for an egg hunt outside of our house. Obviously, Jet had a fun Hunting, even after that day, he still went to outside to look for his eggs. Not like last year, he didn't even know what is candy mean, he is growing up!

Here is Jet, he is so surprised find a "ball" hiding in the grass.

He found lots of eggs, little Gwen only likes to follow Jet.
