Longest spring break

When kids were having the longest spring break with no homework, it’s quite boring in the house, so we went to bean Museum, Clark planetarium, asked them to make some dessert, taught them how to make sushi roll. Julian was timid to visit the museum... he grow up during COVID-19,I feel so bad for him, I will try to take him to more places.

 

M’s 38 birthday

When we woke up this morning, we were surprised to see the big snow made the world white and beautiful again! It’s mason’s birthday, he got to chose what breakfast he wanted. He wanted the Chinese egg pancake! I made California roll and tonkastu sushi roll for lunch, and minestrone soup with rolls for dinner. Julian loves the cake of course, he wanted to eat it even in the morning, when I didn’t want to give it him, he lay on the floor, being unhappy.

 

Two weeks Spring break

I am so happy that the spring break is almost over! Without homework, with covid, it’s kinda boring. We played snow, we went to bean Museum, Clark planetarium, we tried to go the the Aquarium but failed, limited tickets. Jet made cookies, Tessie made tapioca pudding, we went to stores, and goofing around in the house...anyway, we are all happy it’s almost over, Jet even told me to wake him up at 7. He is ready for the school!

Our Chinese New Year

 It’s our first Chinese New Year here in US. I hawked Enji’s dad to write 春联 for us, right after I put on the door, I felt our traditional holiday is coming. Mason made it home from Louisiana for the new year Eve, we had 火锅年夜饭。 yesterday I was busy whole preparing food fir the party with Enji’s family. Too bad I was too busy making food, didn’t have much time taking pictures. We had Mom& Dad over too to meet our new Chinese friend. Julian boy was especially happy , played with similar age twins. He didn’t want them to go home in the end. Our tradition including watch our excellent new year celebration show春晚, so we are watching it on the weekend, enjoying this casual holiday moments: eating snacks, drink tea, watch show...
